Galleri

Galleri is a fashion shop for younger people which was in the same building but separated from the boutique 'Eva' and 'Company' a life style shop. The project enlarges the existing shop by using a former office to connect 'Galleri' to 'Eva'. The planning circulates around changing rooms which form a back-drop for the service desk. The walls of the changing rooms are deep blue in contrast to the dusty-white of the other wall and ceiling surfaces.

The floor is laid with large, identically sized planks of maple and basaltic stone. Within the area of stone is a similarly proportioned steel grille to the heating room below, revealing the ancient plumbing while at the same time stealing its heat. The same three materials are used in the hanging system.

New interventions in existing external openings control daylight while providing for display both internally and to the street.
